Ok moms, I need your advice. Frankie loves, loves to he held ALL THE TIME!! Every once in a while, once he's asleep I can lay him down for a nap and he'll sleep for anywhere from 30 - 45 minutes. And when Frank and I eat dinner we can usually get him to sit in his chair without fussing too much. The thing I need advice on is when do I just put him down and let him cry and learn to self sooth? The books I've been reading say around 3 months (Frankie turns three months on Friday), but I'm wondering what you've done. When did you let your babies cry it out and how did that work? I know that if he's feed and has a clean diaper I should let him cry for 10 minutes, but should I do anything else to make that 10 minutes easier for him? Leave him a toy? Help! I'm 6 minutes into a 10 minutes crying session now and it's killing me!!

Have you read the No-Cry Sleep Solution? I don't do everything that it says, but it did help me learn things about how to help her self soothe. At 6 months is when we really started to let her cry herself to sleep. Good luck! It's tough, it's the only fight DH and I have!
I haven't read the No-Cry Solution, although you're the second person to recommend it to me. I looked it up online and the website had some really useful info on it. Thanks for the suggestion! :)
I think I'm just trying to get the baby on my schedule and I need to just remember that I should be on his. I hate giving up control! :)
Laura, I just have to say that Frankie is SOOOOOOOO adorable! How can you stand it!!! On the crying thing, all I know is it gets better, I promise!!! And have you tried wearing a sling?
