A Morning at the Beach

Frank and I took the pups to the dog beach in Coronado this morning. We were a little worried about Sofie drinking the ocean water(she LOVES water) and so we've put off going, but this weekend was so beautiful we just had to risk it. The second we hit the sand Sofie went crazy, she was jumping and pouncing, getting in play mode, trying to get Sage to chase her. It was so cute. Then after we set up the blanket and went towards the water she did something I couldn't have imagined, she wouldn't go near the water. When the waves came her way she would run with her ears back and her tail between her legs. I tried picking her up and putting her in the water but that didn't go over so well, as soon as I put her down she would turn and hop out. Acutally she would pounce out, it was so cute. But I don't give up so easy and I was determined to see her in the water and having fun. So I found a tennis ball on the beach and got Sage to come into the water and sure enough Sofie would follow!! I won! :) She would still turn around and try to get out as soon as a wave came her way but she stayed in the water and did a little swimming. It was fun to get out and do something, I just wish I had pictures. I don't like taking the camera to the dog beach, the sand is really fine and gets into everything.
Ugh, I hated wearing a bikini, tankini, acutally. I felt so not like me, I miss my flat stomach. One of the girls in the office also, so politely, let me know this last week that my butt is getting bigger as well. And then today after we left the beach Frank let me know that she's right, my butt is bigger. As much as I love that we are having a baby I already hate what it's done to my body, and the worst is yet to come! Anyway, enough complaining! I had a wonderful morning at the beach with my beautiful family and I'm grateful, even if I have a bigger butt.
